TUNA MASTERS EXCITEMENT RETURNS TO TEOS MARINA FOR THE 11TH YEAR

Hosted by Teos Marina off the coast of Sığacık, the StafuPro Tuna Masters TEOS 2026 concluded after two days of intense competition. Team PHANTOM-X claimed the Overall Championship of the Teos leg with 912 points, while Urla-based TERAPIA secured the “Biggest Fish” award with an impressive 166 kg catch. Teos Marina General Manager Faruk Günlü said they were delighted to host the excitement of Tuna Masters for the 11th consecutive year and thanked the entire Teos Marina team for their contribution to the successful delivery of the event.

The first leg of the 2026 Tuna Masters season, StafuPro Tuna Masters TEOS, was held off the coast of Sığacık with Teos Marina once again serving as the host venue. One of the established events on Türkiye’s sport fishing calendar, Tuna Masters returned to Teos Marina for the 11th consecutive year, bringing together competing teams, boats and the tournament organisation in Sığacık.

Over two days of competition, teams took to the waters of the Gulf of Sığacık in pursuit of bluefin tuna, competing both for the title of Teos Overall Champion and for points towards the season-ending Tuna Masters of the Year title.

PHANTOM-X TAKES THE LEAD ON DAY ONE

PHANTOM-X set the pace on the opening day of the tournament with a 152 kg bluefin tuna, taking the top position on the leaderboard.

Under the tournament scoring system of six points per kilogram for bluefin tuna, the catch earned PHANTOM-X a total of 912 points. VENOM V, with a 77.8 kg bluefin tuna, and BAD TRIP, with a 61.65 kg catch, were among the other standout teams of the opening day.

PHANTOM-X’s 912-point performance proved enough to retain the Overall lead after the second and final day of competition.

TOURNAMENT’S BIGGEST CATCH COMES FROM URLA-BASED TERAPIA

The heaviest bluefin tuna of StafuPro Tuna Masters TEOS 2026 arrived at the weigh-in on the second day of competition.

TERAPIA, represented by Urla-based anglers Anıl Bircan, Erim Eruz and Orkun Boyacıoğlu, landed an impressive 166 kg bluefin tuna, the largest catch of the tournament.

Worth 996 points under the scoring system, the catch earned TERAPIA the “Biggest Fish” award. In accordance with tournament rules, a catch winning this category is not included in the Teos Overall classification. The 996 points, however, were credited to TERAPIA’s season total for the Tuna Masters of the Year standings.

PHANTOM-X CROWNED TEOS OVERALL CHAMPION

Following the completion of the two competition days, the Overall standings of StafuPro Tuna Masters TEOS 2026 were confirmed.

PHANTOM-X, represented by Volkan Önterlikçi, Hüseyin Çelimli, Bora Güler and Taha Başata, claimed the Overall Championship with 912 points from their 152 kg bluefin tuna.

SHADOWFIN, comprising Rıza Berk Akın, Tugay Güneş, Deniz Çetin and Vahdet Cevizci, finished second with a total of 716 points.
